Classical music, cult or scholarship encompasses all the musical achievements of high culture representatives in a geographic space over a period of time. The composition of cult works respects a number of precepts imposed by tradition, so the author is known by his name or at least by a pseudonym and has a thorough knowledge of the musical theory applied in the culture to which he belongs. Although based on tradition, cult music is always receptive to innovation in one form or another; in its stages of evolution, a cult music can deny even some of its fundamental laws in order to achieve the new.
